In the welcome speech, Yufeng Mao, director of the department of mathematics, physics and chemistry at the Bureau of Front Science and Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the plans and prospects on the future development of the astrochemistry disciplines based on the international cooperation and overall development in China. The main topics of the workshop focused on the significant results from current research of astrochemistry, understanding of its chemical methods, as well as the experimental measurements of chemical reactions and the influences of the molecular spectrum. Thirty scientific talks and 27 posters were presented in the workshop. During the meeting period, participants also visited the museum of National Time Service Center. 

The workshop strengthens the academic communication of scientists, and enhances the international and domestic impacts of astrochemistry research of XAO. The leaders and experts highly appreciated the efforts of the organizers and expressed their expectations for the next workshop.
